Our President's Rebuttal to Trooper Murphy's SPIN Report
To all State Troopers and Law Enforcement Officers:
I read SPIN Report that State Trooper Frances Murphy III wrote trying to defame me and our Club once again. I will address each point one at a time. I appreciate your work and hope you will take the time to make a fair judgment on ours. Our website speaks the truth. I simply ask that you give us the benefit of the doubt until we prove otherwise. Please check with the State Police Officers that specialize in Motorcycle Clubs and ask them if they agree with the contents of this report. I am confident that the vast majority of Police Officers are quality people and they will tell the truth.
April 2007, during the monthly Wardogs meeting at the Tonidale Bar and restaurant, a former Pagan who was patched over into the Wardogs recommended “organizing things in Beaver County the way the Pagans previously did.”
If you have over 100 guys talking in a room, a lot of things are said. I never heard anyone say anything of the sort, and I am sure that there was never any talk or discussion about organizing things the way the Pagans previously did. This is an outright lie!
Information May 2007, unknown numbers of Wardogs MC were reported to have been in Jack’s Tavern on the south side when several members of the Brothers of the Hammer MC (Black motorcycle gang) arrived. The Wardogs told the B/H to take off their colors. An argument transpired and the B/H departed.
The only time the War Dogs were at Jacks in May, a Black Club did enter Jack’s while we were there. They were not the Brothers of the Hammer; they were the Sin City Deciples. They were there because they came to have a drink with us. They are friends of ours. We invited them to have a drink with us, and they rode over to Rolands in the Strip District with us after we left Jacks. We have had no encounters with the Brothers of the Hammer in any bar - ever. If we did, we would offer to buy them a drink as well. This is an outright lie!
May 2007, several men wearing Wardog colors were observed by a Pittsburgh Police Officer in Hazelwood below the tracks between 2nd Ave and the river. This is considered a high drug traffic area and was the focus of a drug saturation detail.
I cannot believe any Police Officer would write something so ambiguous with the intention of insinuating criminal intent. I am sure that that Pittsburgh Police Officer did see a few Wardogs in that location. We have two members that live there. This one is really a joke.
May 2007 a known Ambridge Police officer reported he heard “the word on the street” is “the Wardogs are going to take over the drug distribution in Beaver County” (This is unsubstantiated at this time.)
What Ambridge Officer heard this information? How was it substantiated and confirmed? Oh, it was unsubstantiated! If that is the case, why is it included in any report to any Police Agency? Have any War Dogs been arrested for any drug violations anywhere at anytime. The answer is NO. This is an outright lie.
May 2007 Mick Morrow the President of the Wardogs filed an internal affairs bureau complaint against a member of the Pennsylvania State Police for “bad mouthing the Pittsburgh Fight Club” Morrow is the vice president of the Pittsburgh Fight Club. This complaint was addressed directly to the Internal Affairs Western District Director, whose name and address are not commonly known and not advertised on the State website. It is possible this information was provided to Morrow from a law enforcement officer.
The complaint was filed for defamation of character against me, my partner, Eric Hibler, the Pittsburgh Fight Club, Inc., and the War Dogs Motorcycle Club because Trooper Frank Murphy has continued to tell countless citizens unfounded allegations and insinuations similar to these, as well as many more damaging statements for more than 18 months. Click on the link to see a copy of the complaint that I filed. It has the names of individuals blocked out to protect their privacy. Under the circumstances, what would any of you have done? Eric is a hard working world class martial artist trying to make a living. Trooper Murphy’s continued disparaging remarks directed toward the Pittsburgh Fight Club have cost Eric a considerable amount of business. If Trooper Murphy has some problem with me, there is no reason to damage Eric in his attempt to defame me. I do not know why he has a problem with me. I have never met the Trooper, and do not even know what he looks like. This is the only partially true statement out of the seven!
May 2007 a former Wardog who quit the group and turned in his colors reported he received a veiled threat by phone and by text and was being extorted (fine $100.00) by Mick Morrow and a member named Chuck.
This member’s name is Rich Schneider. He was thrown out of the Club because he threw a State Police Motorcycle Trooper the middle finger while riding in the opposite direction on the Parkway West. I did send Rich a text telling him he was being fined $100.00. I am sure he has the text message. There was no threat intended or implied. If there was, we all know that Trooper Murphy would have enjoyed arresting me. The $100.00 would have gone to the charity of choice of the Trooper who had been disrespected. However; in keeping with the character of a person who would throw a State Trooper the middle finger, Rich said he would not pay. That is his choice, but his failure to pay the fine illustrates to everyone in the Club the type of person he is. Trooper Murphy certainly knows the real facts associated with this incident. This is an outright lie!
May 2007, South Fayette Twp. Fifteen members of the Wardogs were at a Tavern when they attacked a patron and seriously injured him.
The only incident involving a tavern brawl happened at the Settle Inn in Oakdale. It is not even in South Fayette Twp. In any case, there were four War Dogs in the bar when the incident occurred. There were two patrons of the bar that were starting trouble with several different parties at the bar. The one patron claimed he was just out of prison and was going to shoot some of the other patrons. He actually motioned with his fingers on two of the other patrons heads as though he was firing a shot at their heads. The four War Dogs had nothing to do with these two unruly hooligans. The War Dogs drink in that bar often and never bother anyone. The bar owners and North Fayette Police are well aware of that. As the night went on, a friend of one of the Wardogs came into the bar. One of the hooligans, who had been trying to start trouble all night, started an argument with this gentleman - subsequently attacking him. He attacked the wrong guy and got knocked out. When the hooligan’s friend tried to jump in on a fair fight, a couple of the War Dogs restrained him from doing so. They did not punch him or beat him in any way. After the gentleman knocked the first hooligan out, the Wardogs left the other guy loose to face him one on one. He got knocked out as well. This statement is not only an outright lie, it is easily verified by checking with the bar owners and looking at the police report. All the individuals involved were known by the Police and there were no charges filed against any War Dogs. I do not know if the Officers filed charges against the two trouble-makers or not because, like Trooper Murphy, I have not read the police report.
The War Dogs MC state they are not a 1% Motorcycle club, but recently they patched over six Pagans into their club. These former Pagans were made Mother Club Members (similar to board of directors). In the last several months the War Dogs are increasingly showing signs of being territorial and confrontational. They are under orders from their leadership to carry firearms when wearing colors. It is unknown the direction this one hundred plus member Wardogs motorcycle club will take. Law Enforcement should use extreme caution when dealing with this group or any 1% biker. Friction has developed between the Pagans and the Wardogs and now a Chapter of the Hell’s Angels has opened in the New Castle area. This is a tinderbox waiting to happen, as the summer riding season is now upon us.
If Trooper Murphy wrote this thinking he was giving good intelligence to his fellow Officer’s, he is a complete incompetent and has dangerously misled his Brother Officers. To try to incite prejudice by deliberately trying to create a false impression is more likely his motivation.
The War Dogs MC is not a 1% organization. Our goals and mission are clearly defined on our website (www.wardogsmc.com). If any Member fails to follow our protocols, they will be thrown out of the Club. We believe in giving any man a second chance in life.
Of the members that joined our club that were with a previous club, two of them are on our nine-member Mother Chapter (not six). We have shown absolutely no signs of being territorial. We are not, and will not be territorial. Some of our Officers have suggested that our Members that are legally allowed to carry firearms should do so. It is within all citizens’ rights to carry a firearm if they are granted the necessary permit through the County Sheriff’s Office. To imply that Law Enforcement should use extreme caution with the War Dogs Motorcycle Club without any basis for such advice could easily put our Members and Officers in tense situations that could needlessly escalate out of control because an Officer felt endangered having received false and misleading information. We will never start a fight or attack anyone or any Club.
Sincerely,
Mick Morrow
War Dogs MC
President – Mother Chapter
